Product Review: Rose Water & Tea Tree Facial Toner by Desire Natural Luxury

Rose Water has easily become a staple in my skincare regimen alongside Rosehip oil. When I got this one by Desire Natural Luxury; a made in Nigeria brand that specializes in organic hair and skincare, I was quite excited to try it out because I barely had five pumps left from my old Rosewater. The most shocking thing about this product is it’s price, my old bottle of Rosewater cost me twice the price of this one from Desire Natural Luxury and this one works just as well.

Review: 2017

At the beginning of 2017, I mentioned that I would be doing little to no blogging on certain months because I had a ton of exams to write throughout the year. Sometimes it was frustrating because other aspect of my life suffered – business, relationships and friendships but it was worth it in the end because I passed all my exams and bagged my first license to practice this December. I’ll be sharing the highlights of my months this year and the not-so-good moments too. You can share a bit of yours in the comment section all the way down below, I would love to read. Protective Style: Brazilian Wool Braid With Loose Tips

I love Brazilian wool and it has easily replaced regular braiding hair for me. I tried Brazilian wool for the first time in 2015 and showed how I created three different hairstyles with it in this Brazilian Wool Twists post. This current style was inspired by the amazing Falana, I went for box braids instead of twists this time around. I originally wanted to do this with grey-colored Brazilian wool but I might be on clinical rotation soon and they are not fans of colored hair over here.

DIY: Activated Charcoal Mask

If you’re “hip” and keep up with latest beauty trends (if you’re not, don’t worry I’m struggling too), you might have noticed that DIY activated charcoal masks made with glue are the new thing right now. I don’t know who launched this trend but I would never use glue on my face or advise anyone else to. I had to look for a better alternative to glue and share my experience before we all got dragged under. There are numerous benefits of activated charcoal including teeth whitening and underarm lightening but we’ll be focusing on the skin benefits in this post. The Albimazing December Subscription Box

One word: Amazing.

“The Albimazing subscription box is a natural and organic skincare box that aims to make your journey to better skin as simple and effective as possible”

I’ve always loved the idea of subscription boxes and was literally over the moon when I was told I would be receiving one, it’s like receiving a surprise gift from yourself every month especially if you go for the six-month plan (which grants you access to extra discounts on payment by the way).

My Black Friday Wishlist

P.S: This list also doubles as my Christmas wish list.

Before I started writing this post, I thought it was going to be super long but then I realized there are very few things I want at the moment. Money is a constant anyday, anytime, so I conveniently left it out of the list (but still chipped it in here anyway). Black Friday sales used to be asssociated with thanksgiving and early Christmas shopping in the abroad but then Nigerian retailers keyed into it and they’ve been doing so well for themselves so far, this year’s Black Friday Sale would be on the 25th of November.
