I love Brazilian wool and it has easily replaced regular braiding hair for me. I tried Brazilian wool for the first time in 2015 and showed how I created three different hairstyles with it in this Brazilian Wool Twists post. This current style was inspired by the amazing Falana, I went for box braids instead of twists this time around. I originally wanted to do this with grey-colored Brazilian wool but I might be on clinical rotation soon and they are not fans of colored hair over here.
Cost
I purchased half a dozen rolls of Brazilian wool for 750 Naira ($2) and paid the hair stylists 2000 Naira ($6) for home service, I spent a total of 2750 Naira ($8) to get this style done. This is the least amount I have ever paid to get braids done, I almost did not believe it until they were done and I handed over the cash. Shout out to my roommate T for the hookup. Duration: 5 hours.
Reaction: I just felt like I should add this because I’ve been getting compliments here and there but also the occasional weird stares and questions that lean towards “why didn’t you allow them finish braiding your hair?”
I plan on having this style for at least 3 weeks, by the end of week 2, I’ll put out a post with details on how to care for both natural hair and Brazilian wool in a protective style.

Hi. I had my hair twisted with the same Brazilian wool and it was very beautiful but just concerned about the finishing. mine was burned at the ages. what is the other way of dealing with the ends apart from burning the ends? and is it true that it is used in closing up the brazillian, indian extensions.

You can allow the ends to be loose like I did in this post but even that would require a bit of burning because of the nature of Brazilian wool.

I have actually seen this too but it wasn’t done with Brazilian wool, I like it. It’s different from the usual.. I have used Brazilian wool for goddess locs and I really enjoyed wearing it because it was very light.

Brazilian wool be saving lives since invention. That or kinky is what I use. Cheap and reusable. Your hair looks nice, but school won’t let one be great with this.

Suits you but I don’t think I’m cool enough to pull this off. My mum actually uses Brazilian wool for her braids and she prefers that to kanekelon( ?) but I’ve never tried it… I might try it and see how it looks. Please tag me in the care post I’ll be braiding soon and I want to know if my aftercare is on point or not 😀

I’m not sure about this one tbh, I like to experiment with my hair and although I have been seeing this style on the gram, I just feel I can’t pull it off but it suits you. Those people asking questions would soon go and make it now, follow-follow syndrome LOL. I like brazillian wool for my braids too although I’ve only used it for twists and faux locs (which I’m even planning to make again). Please do that post on how to care for it because I like to carry mine for a long period.
