My Experience
Behentrimonium Methosulfate is not one of the ‘bad’ sulfate a that dry out one’s hair, it works as an emulsifying/conditioning agent. When I saw Strawberry & Grapefruit Distillate in the ingredient list, I was expecting it to have a ‘sweet’ scent, but it has no distinct scent. A little goes a long way with this shampoo. My hair was feeling really clean after washing and not dry unlike when I use Black soap, so they got the conditioning part right. It lathers nicely too. However, getting the product out of the bottle was a bit of a struggle, a pump would have made it so much easier.

Since it lathers well, does it cleanse well like regular sulfate shampoos?

It cleanses well without leaving my hair feeling ‘strawy’ the way regular sulfate shampoo does.

Oh that’s perfect. I’d look out for this when my ORS shampoo finishes.
