Product Review: Giovanni 50:50 Balanced Shampoo and Conditioner

Happy New Month!
I received this shampoo and conditioner from Aunty Nibi of Kinky Apothecary , I met her during and she was so warm and friendly. I’ve never tried any product from the Giovanni brand so I didn’t have any expectation before using the product, hence no bias.

My View
For someone who is a huge fan of cowashing, I was skeptical and hesitant to using this shampoo, but when I finally got around to it, I was glad I did. It didn’t give me that completely stripped feeling I’ve come to associate with shampoos I’ve used in the past plus my hair felt really clean. Combined with the conditioner which I left in my hair for twenty minutes before rinsing, my hair felt very soft and I just skipped deep conditioning that wash day, I didn’t want to interfere with the ‘fabulosity’ of my hair (I didn’t just use that word). Although I had to go through my sealing regimen 3 hours later, there was no need to moisturize and my hair still felt soft.

  1. I’ve used Giovanni but not the 50:50. I think their products(the ones I’ve tried) are really nice but a bit pricey here in Nigeria
