I had the privilege of covering Lagos Fashion Design Week courtesy of Fayrouz. i was granted an all access pass and I must say it is one of the coolest things to have ever happened to me. because of all my camera issues, I was unable to get as much pictures as I would have liked, so please manage the few ones I was able to lay my hands on.
The much anticipated Fashion week held from 29th of October to the 1st of November with the fashion focust finalists showcasing a few pieces daily amidst retailing by brands including Caven Etomi, Maybelline, Fashpa and Kene Rapu.
I caught up with a few designers, stylists, interns, models and photographers and they all had one thing in common; unbridled excitement at the start of fashion week.
“I’m super excited for fashion week and can’t wait to see what Maki Oh, Orange Culture, IAMISIGO and Grey are going to showcase” Caven Etomi
“This is my first time at fashion week and I’m expecting to be blown away by all these amazing designers and also learn from them” Funmi Taylor, Intern
“Fashion week keeps getting bigger every year and it’s a great opportunity to network” DolaPosh, Photographer
“I’m expecting to see creative, fun, ready to wear pieces this year and I can’t wait to see what T.I Nathan brings to the runway.” Foyin Dimeji
I spotted lots of styles which I loved, there were trendy people everywhere I turned but these were my favorites.
Sadly, I don’t have pictures from the runway shows, but it was a wonderful experience in all.
